TRANSCRANIAL MAGNETIC STIMULATION (TMS)
TMS is a non-invasive therapy for treatment-resistant depression where magnetic pulses are delivered to stimulate neurons in the part of the brain controlling mood. Repeated stimulation of this part of the brain has proven to produce an antidepressant effect on people suffering from depression. TMS is free from common antidepressant drug side effects such as weight gain and sexual dysfunction. As there is no recovery period, patients can return to their usual activities immediately.
SPRAVATO THERAPY
Touchstone is excited to offer SPRAVATO™ (esketamine) therapy for patients with treatment-resistant depression. This breakthrough medication is FDA-approved for use alongside a traditional oral antidepressant. In a clinical study of adults with treatment-resistant depression, patients who were administered esketamine alongside their oral antidepressant experienced greater reductions of depression symptoms at four weeks compared to placebo.
