Insurance Coverage for TMS
In order to qualify for coverage, your insurance will generally require a diagnosis for treatment-resistant depression. Depression is considered treatment-resistant when two or more oral antidepressants fail to improve symptoms at an adequate dose over a long enough period of time.
As an FDA-approved therapy for treatment-resistant depression, TMS is covered by most major insurance providers. Coverage is extended by the providers below. Each provider has their own policy for TMS coverage. If your see your insurance provider listed here, click their logo for more information about their specific policy regarding TMS coverage and their pre-authorization requirements.
