In order to qualify for coverage, your insurance will generally require a diagnosis for treatment-resistant depression. Depression is considered treatment-resistant when two or more oral antidepressants fail to improve symptoms at an adequate dose over a long enough period of time.
As an FDA-approved therapy for treatment-resistant depression, TMS is covered by most major insurance providers. Coverage is extended by the providers below.
