mPNS
Magnetic Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (mPNS):
Magnetic Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (mPNS) is an FDA approved method for chronic pain treatment, including; neuropathic, musculoskeletal, and post-surgical pain. mPNS is a non-invasive pain treatment method that helps manage pain and promotes nerve stimulation. mPNS generates a focussed magnetic field using a coil over a targeted area. When the magnetic field fluctuates, it produces an electrical current through the peripheral nerves and muscles under the skin providing pain relief. Typically mPNS treatment consists of six initial sessions with maintenance on an as needed basis. There are three treatments in the first week, and one treatment per week over the following three weeks. Sessions are non-invasive and take only 15 minutes, but also non-time consuming. By following the recommended 13.5-minute sessions, patients may begin to experience relief from their chronic pain during the first week of treatment. .
